Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges, best known for his character as a stoner bowler for The Big Lebowski, revealed that he has lymphoma.

Lymphoma is a type of cancer that starts by infecting the fighting cells of our immune system. These cells are known as lymphocytes and commonly called white blood cells. The attack happens to our bone marrow, thymus, spleen, lymph nodes, and other body parts. The condition changes the way the white blood cells work, and they grow out of control.

The actor has a commendable spirit about his illness and said, “New S**T has come to light.” It is precisely how his character in Lebowski said it. The man is 70 years old and didn’t give details about his diagnosis. However, he said that he would start the treatment and update his fans about it.

The man accepts that he is suffering from a severe disease, but he also said that he feels fortunate to have an excellent doctor team. Further, he noted that the prognosis is good.

The actor revealed his sickness with a series of tweets and included the fact that they should vote. He also quoted, “we are all in this together,” and stressed voting’s importance. He said that everyone should vote by November 3 and that it is an essential part of the country’s future.

Bridges is a laidback veteran who was popular on the screen during the early 70s. The man has been nominated seven times for the Academy Awards and was credited for his role in The Last Picture Show.

After decades of good work, he received an award in 2010 for his role in Crazy Heart. But most people remember his classic The Big Lebowski. Movies like Starman, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, The Fisher King, The Fabulous Baker Boys are notable mentions. Finally, we can’t skip the first installment of the Iron Man series as well.
