Four Life Lessons From Britney Spears

Britney Spears has been one of the most recognisable faces on the planet for many years – a pop sensation and an inspiration to millions. It’s fair to say though, she hasn’t had the easiest life and endured her fair share of battles, from time in a luxury rehab clinic to marriages gone wrong.

It’s a learning curve though, and there’s plenty we can learn from Britney to take into our own lives, not least how to bounce back from difficult times!

So, what are the life lessons we should be taking from the Baby One More Time Star?

Make your own decisions in life

Much of the mess that has come into Britney’s life has not been made or controlled by herself. For over 15 years, her financial and business decisions were made by a court-ordered board of executives, headed up by her father.

It hasn’t ended well for her, so it’s important to be mindful that you should be in control of your own destiny.

Be careful who you work with

And that goes a step further too. There’s a saying that you should never go into business with your friends, and that can apply to family too. You may have the best relationship in the world, but when it comes to money being involved and business decisions to make, it can become complicated and, pardon the Britney pun, toxic.

Don’t be scared to ask for help

One of the most important lessons you can learn from Britney, is to not be scared to ask for help. No matter what your distress or needs, reach out and try and get your life back on track.

She’s been going strong with husband Sam Asghari for six years now, marrying in June of this year and life finally seems to be good for her.

Be a fan of yourself

If you don’t love yourself, few people are going to do that for you and she once wrote on Instagram that she wanted to “thank ME for believing in ME”. It’s an important lesson and one that will lead to a happier and healthier you.

She’s coming out of a difficult period in her life thanks to this mentality, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re a popstar, painter, dentist, retail assistant or anything else. Only you can define yourself, and you should be proud of who you are.
